Biomass- & Waste-fired Boiler Plants

HoSt supplies turnkey highly efficient biomass- and waste-fired boiler plants from 1 MWt to 50 MWt boiler capacity and up to 12 MWe for the production of renewable energy and other valuable end-products. Our boiler installations are capable of firing any type of wood waste, biomass, agricultural residues and waste such as chicken manure, RDF (Refuse-Derived Fuel) and sludge.

HoSt has experience since 1991 with designing, building, operating and maintenance of biomass and waste boiler plants which can be easily integrated into various industries, at various production factories and for applications as heat and power production, district heating, industrial steam delivery and CO2 supply for greenhouses.

Besides the turnkey supply, renewable heat take-off directly from HoSt, individually or collectively, is a great possibility to enjoy a complete renewable heat supply & maintenance service with HoSt as owner, operator and maintainer of the energy plant.

Highly flexible in applicable fuels

The HoSt combustion technology is highly flexible in applicable fuels: such as moisture contents ranging from 10% to 55% and fuels with low ash melting points like straw, rice husk, sunflower husk, chaff, manure, olive pulp, poultry litter and RDF. HoSt installations are equipped with proven flue gas cleaning technology to minimize NOx, sulphur, chlorine, dust and other pollutants to meet required emission standards anywhere.

Modular boiler installations

HoSt supplies highly efficient biomass- and waste-fired boiler installatins from already 1 MWt. Boilers greater than 25 MWt are built in two combustion lines in combination with one larger efficient steam turbine. This allows cost effective road transport and reducing the height of the building envelope. This modular approach also provides greater installation flexibility for our clients.

The combustion technology is highly flexible in applicable fuels: such as moisture contents ranging from 10% to 55% and fuels with low ash melting points like straw, chaff, manure, olive pulp, chicken manure and RDF (Refuse-Derived Fuel). Heat/power offtake from HoSt

Besides the supply of the installations, HoSt also owns & operates own installations and can step in as energy supplier for (collective) heat/power offtake. This energy service is an ideal solution when the customer wishes to not own and operate a facility itself.

HIGH ELECTRICAL EFFICIENCY

High electrical efficiency obtained by a high pressure water tube steam boiler in combination with an efficient multi stage steam turbine.

Fuel flexibility: from sawdust to wood particles up to 25 cm, from moisture contents of 10% to 55%, even suitable for fuels with a low ash melting point.
