Biomass-fired Energy Plants for HDF Manufacturers
Hardboard, also called high-density fiberboard or better known as HDF panels are plates made of wood fiber extracted from wood chips and pulped wood waste and are bonded under heat and pressure. HDF is much stronger than MDF. HDF manufacturers need heat and electricity for their hardboard manufacturing production processes on-site to produce the wood based plates / panels which is used in laminate flooring products.
This way, the HDF manufacturer can be self-sufficient in energy supply. The biomass plant can be located at the production site of HDF manufacturing plant. The wood residues of the HDF manufacturing process, such as bark and wood sawdust, can then directly be used as fuel in the biomass energy plant to produce energy.
