Special transport of wood-fired CHP boiler

HoSt is building a 3.1 MWe wood-fired CHP plant in Rezekne, Latvia. The installation will burn prunings and convert it to heat and electricity and has an investment volume of approximately 10 million Euro. Many subcontractors from Twente are involved, including Stork Thermeq, Jotem, Teensma and Powerspex.

The boiler is supplied by Stork Thermeq and is transported on Thursday, December 4^th. Because of the size and weight of the boiler, 88 tons in total, it had to be transported by two large truck-trailer combinations. The transport was accompanied by the police.

The boiler was transported from Hengelo to the harbor in the northern German Travemunde, then transported to Latvia by boat, and finally transported on the road to the east of Letvia.

The boiler is now safely arrived on location and installed.
