HOST SUPPLIES 1ST BRIGHT BIOMETHANE SYSTEM IN SPAIN FOR GNF
In the last weeks, a new project was launched for the biogas upgrading branch of HoSt: Bright Biomethane.
In the Spanish village ‘Vila-Sana’, the biogas produced at the ‘Porgaporcs’ pig farm will be fed through a Bright Biomethane system to produce biomethane of the sufficient quality to be compressed and used as a vehicle fuel for a demonstration project, and, in the future, the biomethane will be probably injected into the Spanish national distribution gas grid. This biogas upgrading installation will have a capacity of 200 Nm3/hr and the project is led by Gas Natural Fenosa (GNF) as part of their participation in the project LIFE+ Metamorphosis, a European financed project with the objective to recover energy from organic solid waste from both municipal and agro-industrial and farming sources to obtain alternative and sustainable fuels.
