HoSt received Jan Terlouw Innovation Award
HoSt has won the Jan Terlouw Innovation Award 2012. The panel of judges of kiEMT sees the small scale biogas upgrading installation as a breakthrough for applying biogas to the regular grid. The reward of € 10.000 and eight days of advice were awarded by Jan Terlouw during the kiEMT conference on November 26th.
HoSt developed a technical installation that can produce green gas from biogas on a small scale by the use of an innovative way of highly efficient separation (>99%). The panel of judges praised the relatively simple structure of the innovation and the small-scale applicability of the installation. Director Herman Klein Teeselink of HoSt: ‘’ We didn’t expect to win the award. All nominated innovations looked really good and I think it is hard to say how innovative a product really is. Off course we are very happy with the award.’’ HoSt will use the rewards for the development of the innovation.
