HoSt participated in subcommittee meeting on Livestock Biomass in Tokyo

The Japanese Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) organized on December 3 a subcommittee meeting in Tokyo in the framework of the Netherlands-Japan agricultural dialogue. Japan representative of HoSt, Jerome Partos, participated and shared his experience and knowledge in the field of anaerobic digestion, production of sustainable (bio)energy and valorization of digestate as valuable end-product.

Japanese research institutions (ALIC and NARO) and companies were invited to share their views regarding the utilization of manure and livestock waste and the promotion of biogas utilization in Japan.

From the Dutch side, the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Japan, Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LNV), HoSt and DSM attended.

HoSt is very grateful to have been invited to share its view and experience in the field on this topic and hopes to progressively contribute to the sustainable energy and circular economy in Japan.
