Tours, France
HoSt has developed an installation for upgrading biogas to a methane-rich product gas which can be injected into the gas grid. The installation is placed at a project in Tours, France and has a capacity of 190 Nm³/h biogas and produces 107 Nm³/h biomethane.
In this project the upgrading installation is connected to the existing digesters and has a very high efficiency regarding the separation of methane and carbon dioxide. The unit is therefore able to produce methane with a concentration over 97%, equal to the energy-rich gas type H. The upgraded biogas is injected in the national gas grid. The entire system including compressor, control, membranes, odorisation, biogas analysis and a vacuum pump is all integrated in a single 40 ft. container.
