HoSt built a digestion plant at the Attero facility in Tilburg in which 100% food waste past date is processed together with digestate from the green waste digester at the same location.
The installation consists of 4 polyester reception tanks, from where the food waste past date is pumped directly to the digester tank. The digestate from the green waste digester is pumped directly to the after-digester tank, where all material is mixed together.
From the after-digester tank, the digestate will be pumped to the de-watering unit for after treatment. The biogas from the HoSt installation is mixed with the biogas from the green waste digester in the gas strorage of the after-digester tank. From here, the biogas will be treated and transported to the biogas upgrading unit.
Unique about the digestion plant is that it is developed for processing 100% food waste. The installation is high efficient due to the optimal mixing, dosing, and a good degradation of the material.
