The installation in Son built by HoSt uses various input streams (flotation sludge, liquid waste from the food industry and offal) to produce renewable electricity and heat.
The installation consists of a main digester and an after-digester with integrated gas storage and is characterized by its high stability by optimal mixing of the input streams. Moreover, there is a short residence time.
The total capacity of the plant is 65,000 tons per year and the plant produces a total of 2.5 MWe of electricity and heat.
