CHARACTERISTICS

  • The bioenergy plant built by HoSt supplies heat to the district heating net of Eindhoven. The plant burnes wood chips (wood waste) and produces green electricity as well as heat. The plant provides the baseload heat demand during the winter and provides the entire heat demand during the summer period.
  • The plant has an extensive flue gas cleaning system to meet the stringent requirements in the Netherlands. The NOx emissions are significantly reduced to below 145 mg / Nm³ by means of urea injection. In addition, the plant is equipped with a bag house filter which minimizes dust emissions to below 5 mg / Nm³.
  • The flame tube boiler design has a very high availability due to an online soot blowing system. Moreover, The HoSt combustion technology ensures a high system availability. The fouling of the boiler and furnace is minimized due to low speeds and a low temperature on the grate.
