Water Board Veluwe is able to be self-sufficient in electricity with this biogas plant. Different waste streams, such as flotation sludge, slaughterhouse waste and unpacked foods are digested in the plant.

The heat is used for about 1,100 homes in the neighborhood Zuidbroek in Apeldoorn. HoSt was responsible for the design, construction and commissioning of the plant and took care of the process of technical support during the warranty period of 1 year.
