Norfolk, England
This anaerobic digestion plant in Norfolk, England, uses manure, corn and waste products to produce sustainable electricity and heat. The system generates 1.56 MW of electricity and heat.
The biogas plant is equipped with a flexible input system for efficient feedstock handling. A high total efficiency is achieved in the system due to application of a two-stage concept, optimal mixing and the application of a highly efficient combined heat and power (CHP) system.
The digestate from the biogas plant is separated in a thin and a thick fraction to enable a more efficient on-site digestate storage, especially during the winter.
