This AD plant, built in Norfolk, Great Britain, uses manure, corn and waste products to produce sustainable electricity and heat. The system generates 1.56 MWe of electricity and heat.
The plant initially runs on 100% corn, with the goal to replace corn by low-quality products in the future. The plant is therefore provided with a flexible input system. A high total efficiency is achieved in the system due to application of a two-stage concept, optimal mixing and the application of a highly efficient CHP.
The digestate in this biogas plant is separated in a thin and a thick fraction to make it easier to store the digestate during the winter.
