HoSt, headquartered in the Netherlands, specialises in bioenergy technology and is a leading turnkey supplier of biomass and waste energy systems. We have grown into an international organisation providing waste-to-energy solutions through our network of sales representatives, local offices and partner distributors.

To strengthen our UK service team we are currently seeking a Service Engineer for our biogas installations. We are looking a Service Engineer who is service oriented with a high sense of responsibility and a flexible approach to work and allow for overtime together with UK travel and staying away from home for short periods of time. A few locations of our biogas plants in the UK: Talgarth, Fraddon, Norfolk, Ellough, Euston, Worlington, Hereford, Farleigh Wallop.


  • Working with feeders, boilers, Pneumatics, Mixers, CHP (combined heat & power plant), SCADA and Control systems;
  • Breakdowns and out of hours call outs to ensure plant downtime is minimised;
  • Execution and planning of preventative maintenance;
  • Working with customers face to face on a daily basis;
  • Complying with Health and Safety and Quality polices;
  • Installation and maintenance of biogas plants and equipment.


  • Technical background in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering;
  • Familiar with aspects of an Anaerobic Digestion Plant or a similar process/plant environment;
  • Flexible and customer-oriented attitude (irregular working hours and variable activities);
  • Driver’s license B.
