What is the Polish amendment of Renewable Energy Act?

The amendment to the Renewable Energy Act came into force in the middle of 2018 and changes the renewable energy sources act of 2015. The amendment to this act is aimed at promoting the production of CHP’s to increase the share of green energy in Polish energy mix structure. With this Legal Act Poland aims at achieving its overall 15% RES target fixed at the EU-level by 2020.

The incentives systems of FIT and FIP as well auction have been created to substitute existing supportive schemes of certificates (green, yellow, brown certificates) which were considered as bringing too high investment risk due to their price ups and downs.
