516 solar panels provide HoSt with renewable energy

Did you know that HoSt is not only a turn-key supplier of bioenergy systems, but also generates solar energy with 516 solar panels on the roof of the headquarters in Enschede to provide the building with renewable energy? 

The 516 solar panels (270WP) produce 130.000 kWh / year, which is equivalent to the annual energy consumption of circa 30 households. The energy that HoSt is not consuming is delivered to the grid. On a sunny day, 800 kWh can be produced. To give you an idea: if there are 5 sunny days, we produce as much energy as the average energy consumption of one Dutch household in one year! The new office (next to the existing building) is as energy efficient as possible and is designed to minimize energy consumption.
