General description HoSt
Over the years HoSt specialized herself as a company in technologies for sustainable biomass energy. Her specialty focuses on digestion, gasification and wood fired combustion (CHP) plants.
In 1996 HoSt was founded by her two mother companies, Holec projects and Stork, both big industrial companies in the Netherlands. Since 1999 HoSt is an independent and private company.
In the first operational years HoSt mainly acted as an engineering company on the field of energy saving and process optimisation. In 1999 HoSt started with the development of her own technologies for the generation of energy from biomass.
Currently HoSt is especially active as turn-key supplier of biomass energy installations. Besides HoSt is also still involved in feasibility studies, engineering works and license applications for a broad range of clients, mainly in the energy intensive industry.
HoSt B.V. has around 25 employees, the major part being university skilled. Besides the head office in Hengelo, HoSt has offices and representatives in countries like Italy, Poland, Romania, Latvia, Slovakia and Moldova.
With the below standing technologies HoSt can generate energy and heat submitted by biomass fuels:
- Wood fired combustion plants (CHP);
- Circulating fluid bed gasifier plants;
- Farm scale biogas plants;
- Industrial biogas plants.
In the above fields HoSt distinguishes itself through the supply of creative and innovative solutions. This results in energy installations which are characterized by, for example, a higher conversion and  efficiency, a higher availability of the plant, the possibility of using non-standard fuels and / or an optimal integration of energy / products to businesses of customers.
