Industrial biogas installations

HoSt supllies industrial biogas installations for the digestion of 100% waste. Industrial biogas installations with a vertical top mixer are used to obtain maximal homogeneity in the tanks. This maximal homogeneity is essential to obtain a stable process. This essential in case of a feed of 100% quick converting organic waste streams. The vertical top mixers avoid swimming layers and sedimentation in the tanks and have low energy use. The height/diameter ratio of these tanks is 1:1. This leads to much higher tanks in comparison to farm scale biogas installations.

As a result of using of vertical top mixers, it is not possible to integrate the gas storage in the roof of the digester. Therefore separate gas storage and gas treatment is needed. It is also possible to use a after-digester with an integrated gas storage.

HoSt has experience with a broad variety in waste streams, like slaughter house waste and other waste streams from the food industry. For categorized waste streams (cat. 2 and 3) sanitation equipment can be supplied. The sanitation equipment is designed conform EU-regulations (EU 1774/2002).

HoSt supllies installation on turn-key basis, including the start-up of the installation.
