Farm scale biogas installations

Farm Scale biogas installations is a fermentation system based on a fully stirred tank with a large diameter and a relative small height. In a farm-scale installation we use a cost-effective integrated concept. The insulated concrete tanks are hereby equipped with an integrated gas storage. By using slow rotating paddle mixers we prevent floatation layers in the tank and we can digest with a relative high dry matter content in the tanks. The concept for farm-scale installations are mainly applied in the digestion of manure with energy crops and waste streams.

HoSt builds these plants in The Netherlands and Belgium in cooperation with Oosterhof Holman Milieutechniek, in the combination: HoSt Oosterhof Holman Mestvergisting. Outside The Netherlands and Belgium HoSt works together with local contractors.
